The Atlanta Housing Authority Roosevelt Hall project consisted of the renovation of an 18,000 SF historic community facility originally constructed in 1937 as the first federally funded public housing project for African American families. The renovation was designed to preserve the building’s historic significance while transforming the space into a modern environment focused on cultural enrichment, community engagement, and flexible public use.
Scope included major structural steel upgrades, installation of new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, elevator installation for improved accessibility, extensive concrete work, and comprehensive interior renovations throughout the facility. The project required careful coordination across multiple trades to modernize the building while maintaining the character and integrity of the historic structure.
