The Atlanta Housing Roosevelt Hall project transformed the historic 18,000 SF Roosevelt Hall building, originally constructed in 1937 as the first federal public housing project for African-American families. The renovation encompassed both interior upgrades and land development, including a 546 SF building addition.
Water quality improvements involved removing an outdated retention structure, installing underground retention pipes, and upgrading existing drainage systems to enhance efficiency and sustainability. The land development scope included new walkways, landscaping, and a parking lot.
A standout feature of the project is the rooftop green space, complemented by revitalized exterior areas and refreshed common spaces. These enhancements not only create a more sustainable and welcoming environment but also honor the building’s rich history while serving the evolving needs of the community.
Roosevelt Hall now stands ready to thrive as a vibrant community hub, connecting people and strengthening the bonds that make Atlanta stronger.
