January 2017 - June 2017
Trades of work performed included interior build-out, framing and drywall, ceilings, laboratory millwork, flooring and finishes, lighting and electrical work, plumbing, HVAC coordination, low-voltage systems, and general MEP coordination within a higher education laboratory environment.
The GSU Science Annex Renovation project consisted of a 5,000 SF interior fit-out of two laboratory floors within the shell structure of the Science Annex Addition building at Georgia State University. The project represented the final phase of a multi-contractor effort focused on completing functional laboratory and academic spaces within the new addition.
Scope included interior build-out of laboratory environments, installation of partitions, ceilings, finishes, millwork, and specialty components required to support the academic and research functions of the facility. The project also included coordination and integration of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage systems necessary to support laboratory operations and specialized equipment requirements.
Because the work was performed as part of a larger phased construction effort involving multiple contractors, extensive coordination and scheduling were required to align with ongoing activities throughout the building. FS 360 coordinated closely with project stakeholders, trade partners, and adjacent contractors to successfully complete the final phase of the laboratory build-out while maintaining quality, schedule performance, and operational readiness for the university.
