July 2016 - March 2017
Trades of work performed included selective demolition, interior renovations, structural steel erection, framing and drywall, laboratory construction, roofing systems, green roof installation, hydroponic water systems, flooring and finishes, lighting and electrical work, plumbing, HVAC installation, and general MEP coordination.
The Greater Atlanta Christian School Science Building Renovation and Addition project consisted of complete renovations to an existing 5,000 SF science building along with construction of a new 3,500 SF addition within the active school campus. The project modernized and expanded the facility to better support classroom instruction, laboratory functions, and collaborative learning environments for students and faculty.
The existing science building included classrooms, laboratories, offices, restrooms, and common areas, all of which underwent significant interior demolition and renovation. Scope included upgraded finishes, reconfigured spaces, new building systems, and improvements to support modern educational and laboratory requirements.
The new addition included construction of expanded instructional and support spaces along with installation of a green roof system and hydroponic water system designed to support sustainability and educational initiatives. New construction activities included all major divisions of work, including structural steel erection, building envelope components, and full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system installation.
Because the project was completed within an active K–12 campus environment, careful coordination and phased construction activities were required to maintain safety and minimize disruptions to students, faculty, and daily school operations. FS 360 managed site logistics, trade coordination, and scheduling to successfully deliver the renovated and expanded science facility.
