Once a vibrant hub for social and community life, this two-story building is being restored to meet the evolving needs of women and families in the area.
The renovation includes comprehensive exterior and interior upgrades designed to meet LEED standards, supporting a healthy and sustainable environment. The revitalized space will include updated offices, flexible meeting spaces, classrooms, childcare areas, a commercial kitchen, and wellness-focused features that will help YWCA continue its mission of empowerment and equity.
Since 1902, YWCA Greater Atlanta has been a leading advocate for women and families across Georgia. We are honored to support this important work and to help bring new life to a space with deep community roots.

“We are honored to stand in this moment alongside women on the Westside who for too long have not been fully seen, nor heard,” said YWCA Greater Atlanta President and CEO Danita V. Knight. “Each leader, organization, and donor that joined us in support of our Phillis Wheatley campaign has made it possible to create a safe space and village of supportive services for women, girls, and their families. We are excited to bring this iconic building back to the Westside of Atlanta and tremendously grateful for all of the community support.” - YWCA Greater Atlanta President and CEO, Danita V. Knight.
